Out shopping today and Adam had his keys in our nappy bag which I threw in the boot and then closed (Didn't know it was in there). Well, she beeped wildly at us a few times then I opened the boot (my key was in my pocket).
Went to throw my keys on the seat to turn on the aircon for our daughter and the alarm went off (triggered by me opening the door).
So, nice to know the car unlocks itself when you lock your keys in the boot so you can get them back out (although would have been nice not looking like I was breaking into my own car :p)

I accidentally left my keys in the boot once and the car did not unlock itself. Eventually after about 10 minutes of pushing the button on the boot it unlocked. However it did happen to me again and the car did unlock itself.
Sometimes if you have your keys in a bag or something it kind of shields it, making it not communicate very well. That is what I find anyway.
