WRC style rear wing for Sportback

Postby talktomrgibson » Wed Jul 13, 2011 11:23 am

i have been thinking for a while now that one of the WRC style rear wings might like cool on the Sportbacks, does anybody know if something like this would be able to be fitted to a RA Sportback?

i know it will have a lot to do with the mount dimensions, i guess i'm just wanting to gauge if people think it would be worth looking into or not?

Go look at v193r's Sportback. He has all three Sportback wings on his ride.

He might be able to give you the low down on how this might go?

Cosworth Panel Filter w/ RA Intake | SuperCircuit 4-2-1 Headers | Creat’d Ti-tipped SS exhaust
BC BR-type Coilovers | UR + Whiteline Bars

Can't imagine it looking that great on a Sportback TBH but I'm open to seeing it in the flesh first before I make my judgement.

those types of wings only work well with smaller hatch cars like the new wrx, focus etc..

You can guarantee the fitment won't be the same. You would need the spoiler modified or an entirely custom one.
Both mean money.

Because there is no SB evo and SB's are heavier, you're not going to find any rally-style spoilers made for SB's.

Like ofey said, there are JDM ralliart spoilers.
You can get the wing from here:
http://www.rhdjapan.com/ralliart-sports-rear-wing-spoiler-galant-fortis-sportback-59807

$665.12 (-10%, though they might be permanently out of stock) + shipping from japan.
I remember having a conversation, learning that theres another place that sells them for about the same price.

There is also a member on here from spain called JOSEC who has the whole lot, he still visits sometimes.

A link v19er posted (part numbers):
