Tow Bar for EVO X

hi all i have just joined just wondering if the tow bar that can go no the Ralliart lancer can go on a EVO X is the exhaust on the Ralliart the same from the diff back and if not can it be adjusted to fit on a EVO X ???? any help would be good Thanks Cheers Gazza

Was told by my dealer that you should not under any circumstances fit a tow bar to the Evo X - Your car manual will also tell you the same thing. I haven't bothered to research why exactly that is but I'm sure someone here will know.

Hi I don't really follow why you can not put a tow bar on a evo x the basic chassis should be the same as a Ralliart or lancer??? and if you can work around the rear bumper it is strange??? i only want to tow a standard size trailer Thanks Gary

all cars get rated as to how much weight they can tow behind them, the Evo does not fit the criteria by the australian standards to be able to tow anything behind it, but the normal lancers can....

Hi so would it be illegal to put 1 on?? i have been quoted $1700 for one to be custom built and that would be certified and tested but don't real want to pay that much Cheers Gazza

Its the same in the states to.. Doing some research online I found out they cant put tow bars on theirs either.

You would be best to go into QLD transport or call them up and your insurance company to find out the truth about it. Or call MMAL and ask them about it. Do a lot of research about it before you go spending that kind of money...
