Tyres for VRX 08 Lancer

Postby MaltSTi » Wed Jan 19, 2011 5:24 pm

Hey guys

My first post!

I have an 08 Lancer VRX.

I am needing to replace the tyres!

Theyre the 18inch 215/45 tyres.

Where in brisbane do you think is the best place (value for money etc) and what tyres do u recommend.

Bob Jane at Chermside recommended some Falken tyres to me at $229 each. He suggested that there are the original tyres u can replace them with, but theyre $400+ and there are also multiple other higher end tyres, however he said the Falkens were just as good, and far more affordable.

He also recommended them over getting cheaper budget tyres for around 20-30 less per tyre, as the quality difference is quite large.

Any advice?

hey matt welcome to the club
the falken ze912 is a nice quiet running tyre which is important with the lancers if you need a good budget tyre i think the nankang is hard to go past for value for money
alternately you could change to 225/40r18 and that would open up more brands and fit on the std rims ok
no turbo no awd but she's all white

I'm using the Falkens on both my RA and VRX, Bob Jane at Chermside did mine.
