Taking the two important ladies of my life (my wife and our CJ) on a road trip Sydney to Gold Coast from Sept 29 and be back home in October 4.
Taking the trip not actually to see Gold Coast but just to enjoy the drive and see all the nice places along the way (Hunter Valley, Port Macquarie, Port Stephens, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour et .. ) and might even visit Brisbane... But we are flexible so if we see anything that interests us we will just stop by and enjoy the place.
I was actually deciding between Victoria and Queensland but common consensus among my friends was that the drive to Queensland is more scenic than driving to Victoria so we decided on that (atleast that's what they say).
Really looking forward to it.. If I see any QLD member I'll honk my horn

if you went along the Princes Hwy to Vic it'd take longer but some nice scenic spots and townships along the way (atleast there is that I know of on the NSW south coast) but if you go down the Hume Hwy which is the quickest then yeah it is as boring as bat shit with freeway atleast 90% of the way now....
yah! that would be good! btw from Gold Coast going to Brisbane how long would it take? an hour?
also smithsy i might also go and do a Road Trip to Victoria (final stop would be Geelong where I have a friend).. maybe in November after i take the car back for a 7.5km service, i know that service is not required but it's good to have it done.
