I agree - the new ones have plastic "fingers" with "L" shaped hooks. I assume the originals are the same. But if not removed correctly, could end in tears !!

Not needed, Shane - I've bought a set from ofey with the LED indicators. Just need to get them painted. Thanks for the offer though....

Hey Shane - worked it out !!

Removing - start at the lower edge nearest the door.... grip cover ( fingernails help ) and pull down. Corner should come away from mirror housing. Work your way outwards from the door, along bottom edge. Then lift cover (gently !! ) upwards. Voila !!! Cover removed. :)

Replacing - line up the 3 "fingers" along the lower edge of the cover with the slots in the mirror housing. Press the cover inwards until the cover engages fully on the housing.

Happy ...happy !!! :D

G'day Ryan ... new covers not fitted yet - still need to be painted. I don't think it will be hard to wire - piggy back off the side indicators on the front guards.

WTR: Have you considered just looking at the wiring that's used by those who have the folding mirror thing? There are some wires we tap from the fuse box on the pax side behind the fuse box, just use those quick connectors to tap onto the same signal lines.

If you need the instruction manual in PDF, PM me your email address.

G'day ofey ...... I haven't looked into it in depth - just thought it wouldn't be that hard to get 2 wires down to the existing side indicators and tap off them.

Far neater solution though. To connect to the side signal indicators, there is no rubber hosing to carry it across from the door and secondly, when you open your door, you'll have this wire hanging across.

I still think quick connectors onto the fuse box as per the folding mirrors is a far more elegant solution.
