"De-Solv-It"

Postby Envoke » Thu Jun 24, 2010 9:21 pm

Found this product at bunnings while contemplating how the hell to remove my chromey strip thing without ripping up paint... let me tell you, this stuff rocks.

$15 for the big bottle and it works wonders, its safe on plastics, paint, everything (i had paint stains on my dash and this stuff with some scrubbing cleared it up 100%)

It looks like a cheapo brand with a silly orange on it lol, but its awesome.

Its a citrus based solvent in summary haha, works great.

Agreed,

I've used a similar product (could be the same one, not sure! - I got it from bunnings though)

VERY handy for removing double sided tape on pretty much anything :)

The paint i removed was a smudged on a plastic clear coat, so thats probably why its fine. and i sprayed it all over my bumper and left it there, no damage whatsoever

Must be one of those divine things that does what you want it to :p
