Spray adhesive for Suede Interior

Postby Stoney » Fri Dec 11, 2009 2:47 pm

Hi all, first thread

I was wanting to know what the best spray adhesive is out there for people wanting to do a suede interior

I want a good quality brand adhesive that doesn't leave "stains"

post up some ideas

Cheers!

I was researching this when planning to do my CF interior. Most forums say the best stuff for this kind of thing is 3M Super 77 Spray adhesive ... Your main problem is going to be tracking some down. I couldn't find it anywhere is Brisbane.

what stores have you been looking at? I'll check some over here in Perth and see if they have any.

Stoney, when I did my interior I was recommended a brand from Spotlight, I can't remember what it was called though :(

You could try talk to them to see what they have/recommend, there are a few trimming experts in the forum though, one of them might see this thread and share there expertise :)

Spotlight is where I'm getting my Suede from, so I'll ask around there.

Oh, should have said also, if you have a Blackwoods tools shop in your area, you can get all the 3M adhesives there, 75, 76, 77, 90 etc

Good luck.

As speedie said. Go and see Daleys if possible, there are plenty of other trim suppliers around that sell glue too but i will warn you now, the pressure pack can stuff is shit and wont work. I would definately not use it on a roof lining as gravity will take over very quickly!

yep tryg is on the money as usual. blackwoods stock it. i used the fullers spray adhesive when i did my interior and it worked brilliantly. we also used it to do my mates roof and it worked well with his new embossed design. gravity hasn't overtaken it yet and its been 18 months
