Help - Sunroof Open During Carwash

As the title says, went to get my car washed after that dust storm.

Mum was in the car and tried to open the cabin lights while we were in the wash - she pushed the sunroof switch by mistake and water got in.

Those with the sunroof addon will know what I mean, The shade was pulled so no water leaked in.

I'm worried bout mould creeping in, when u pull back the shade the fabric is slightly damp.

I am thinking time in the sun should do it, if not do you think the dealer can replace the sunroof shade?

I guess keep your sunroof tilted now that your at home to make sure any moisture gets dried up as quick as possible. The worse that can happen is i guess you can have water marks on your lining, but i guess it could be cleaned.

The sunroof also has a little gutter on the back to catch any stray water from people who forget to close it when it rains as well, so it might not be as bad as you think.

Also just to let everyone know - Coles Carwash are a load of crap - One of my rims got scratched to hell.

I'll post pics later - should i complain to them?

You can try complaining, but I don't think you will get too far sorry...

The only auto washes I ever use are laserwash, but even then it is only if I am desperate.

I do my car once a week, and usually if I use car lovers I just use pressure to wash.

Probably too late, but I would suggest getting a hair dryer and giving the area a hit with that to aid in the drying process. If you let it air and it drys correctly, then there should be no mould ot smell...
