I moved up from Sydney over 12 months ago to the Gold Coast. Love the place, although you will have to used to the humidity. I rarely go to meets cruises anymore mainly keep to myself. I think Steve holds meets/cruises up Brisbane way but not 100% sure

I'm not sure regarding the Gold Coast area but there are a few people I know with Evos that go to the Ultra Tune in the Valley.

Mitsubishi Yamanto (ipswich) I've worked hard with and have a good relationship with if its regarding warranty issues. I've sent a few members there. They also work on Sal's Twatty Evo X MR.

Let us know when your arriving and we can arrange a meet!

welcome dude. Yeah you will need to do the Road Worthy check when you get here, if you want to register the car with QLD plates.

Don't know if they check exhaust loudness before they give you the RWC. I'm guessing not, but someone else needs to comment on that.

Its quite dumb really. We are all the same freaking country, yet you still need to do a RWC before you can register in QLD. I had to do it with my 2 year old magna when I moved here... its just dumb.

Here the QLD main roads site. It's a bit of a joke because you can have delectable items on your car and still get a safety certificate, eg steering wheel that doesn't have padded spokes. My last car passed safety chert but pulled over by police steering wheel defected. Yes I went thru the whole just had safety cert, doesn't matter wheel illegal WTF.

Have a safe trip and try to enjoy the drive and take in the scenery.
