ABS Service warning.

Postby jakemc8 » Thu Jun 04, 2015 4:55 pm

My ABS/Traction service light came on 2 weeks ago so I tried disconnecting the battery to reset the car and it worked but just recently it came back so I tried my trick and it worked again but just this morning it has come back on. I've decided ill take it to the mechanics to scan it in the morning.
My question is, Does anybody know if it could just be a simple problem (speed sensors eg.) Because I was told that if it was a major problems with the abs pump or similar components the warning wouldn't have gone away at all.
just dont have much more to be spending on mechanic bills this month.
fingers crossed tomorrow goes smoothly.
Lancer es 09 owner, Future Evo X owner (Hopefully)
I want to mod my es to be different and not to be mistaken for a wanna be evo.

depends on the code.
take it to them when you have an active fault code. they will not be able to search for cleared DTC's as the ABS\ASC is not critical operation of the vehicle.
