Alternative Seats

Evening all,

I currently have the 2011 SX and am looking at replacing the front driver/passenger seats for something more of a sporty type of seat (wrap around). The SX comes with side airbags in the seats there for I need to get some seats that are airbag compatible to try and solve this issue with insurance. Do we have anyone here that run different seats that fit in this category that are NOT Recaro's? (Reason: Recaro's are a bit pricey).

Any help would be appreciated!

If you're looking for quality bucket seats with airbags, I highly doubt you're gonna get them much cheaper than 2nd hand Recaros.

One of the wreckers here had the leather seats from an aspire for sale. They're not bucket but still better then the sx seats. Only thing is that wrecker want heaps of money for em and won't separate parts so you have to buy the whole interior.

Who is going to want the entire interior? He does know the only difference is the 'wood' bits right? Lol.

the ralliart bucket seats, there not the best bucket seat but at least they are better then the sx seats and u know they will work as its a mitsu part

unless they are seats from another lancer/ralliart/evo you will have to jump through all sorts of hoops to make them legal/insured.

Are the seats in an SX the same as a VRX?

check in with Frank at H Performance. He has some ideas about Lancer seats may be able to point you in the right direction. They will not be cheap though
