I have just cleaned up the WA section's stickies and announcements. It was bugging me haha
I want to be a very proactive, accessible and fair moderator. In my opinion this means listening to everyone's ideas and opinions, being active (sometimes I don't post but I still lurk and read very often), receiving and replying to all PMs, and leading by example.
These are my quick ideas I jotted down (some have been shamelessly copied from other states
), would appreciate some input or a yay or nay so I know whether to organise them. My goal is to leave the WA section in a better place than when I found it
*Make place more 'newbie friendly', I see a lot of new members join and then disappear just as quickly. Why is it happening?
*WA section is dead - liven it up!
*More cruises, opportunity for new people to participate further and talk mods.
*Go Karting, Clay target shooting, Ten pin, mini golf.
*Bed n' Breakfast cruise.
*Photography cruise.
*Shiniest car/best sounding car (engine/exhaust wise)/loudest stereo/"Who can tag the most cars" competitions (with prizes of course!)
*Hand out maps for cruises and actually plan to do something instead of being airy-fairy.
*Rotate cruise days so more people can come.
*More social events?
*I may meet up with new members at their house and cruise with them to the cruise location if they don't know where to go or if they are nervous about coming.
*Change up/rotate the cruise meet point each time. Causeway is good and central, but getting a bit stale. And I HATE mosquitoes
*Merlin/Beeble group tune (Beeble is coming to WA!)
