Don't be a passenger with Graham then :P

I've been down there 3 times. I do about 40 max. (kangaroos, the narrowness doesn't bother me)

Is there anywhere less dangerous without a speed limit? Lol.

I don't plan to by the sound of that, lol.

suuuure, the roos... haha :P

if there is i don't know about it!

Mike, this is the road through the hills (kalamunda area). used to be a railroad so very thin and very sharp turns. you'd be insane to drive faster than probably 60km/h on this road imo! (sorry Graham, haha).

Oh, and Jake - mod hey? Oh dear... jk.

Its in the hills... Though not very far.
Its called 'Zig-Zag Scenic Route' if you have a GPS or want to google it.
Its a one lane road which zigzags down a steep part of a hill.

Some of the best views of Perth and would be great fun for me except for the kangaroo infestation. The scrub comes right up to the sides of the road so you can't see them coming...

If you go there, it is one way, so go to the eastern end first :P

We might go through on the next cruise... Idk.

Edit: Yeah idk either Laura. Logged on one day and tadah :P

"Zig Zag Scenic Drive" is the name of the road.

Very narrow road, risk of hitting a kangaroo, on the edge of a sharp slope on most of the way down and a few blind corners.

It's used as a hill climb in rallys too :P

It's a fun road to go down quick but at the same time it's very dangerous, a kangaroo could jump out or a branch could be on the road or there could even be a car/bicycle around the corner! (Which is why I never go fast during the day).. one wrong move and you could end up off the side of the cliff! which is what almost happened last saturday when my brakes overheated

I used to live in bedfordale... tonnes of roo's...

I have a nice little 7km stretch of road which is hell fun to drive... just behind my house!

There are plenty of those (sealed) roads out bedfordale way...

I must check out the zig zag at some time...

bahahaha, 30% hardcore. yep, that's me alright :P

what would i be if i had an evo? in all seriousness, i'm glad i can't afford one... i'm far too hardcore to be allowed to drive one. they created anti-hoon laws for drivers like me. heh heh. 8)

no really, i don't have a death wish. zig zags is off limits for me unless it's a leisurely sunday drive!

hitting sport mode when accelerating from traffic lights, and taking corners channeling rally drivers is as hardcore as this older & wiser RA driver gets. lol.

ok... so maybe i don't always see speed limit signs either.

leisurely sunday drives are good fun too :)

Ouch, I've had one close call with a roo on zig zags and one close call when my brakes failed, that's it so far..

I remember the first time I went down zig zags, it was on one of my very first car cruises and there were about 50+ cars going down it all at once and all you could see down the whole hill was headlights in a line, it looked AMAZING

HAHA!

Super sport would be interesting for you then!

I managed to get the rear end out and the ASC screaming at me on the weekend... turns out on a round about you should stay within the speedlimit and not over it... too far any way

The best story though is still in my R33 skyline going back 7ish years... but i will share that in person
