That is unfortunate.
I've found that quite often it is cheaper to replace a part completely, than to repair paint damage.
I know of one CJ Lancer that had a scratch not more than 5cm in breadth which was quoted $450 to repair (cheapest of several quotes); but only ended up costing the owner $50 for a used bumper + $50 installation.

Painted my Bridgestone potenzas today white !!! Added my carbon fibre Mitsubishi decals at the front and rear thanks pete !!!! Have the car a wash and polish and added my k and n warning filter decal!!!!
