I vote port botany and ill be there, not to show and shine but just to support etc etc

Yes Dave .... the Fish 'n' Chip Shops at LaPerouse are Pretty Good.
However, Parking in Close Proximity to each other is Limited because it gets Parked-Out very Quickly, especially on Fine Weather Days.

Hi Anthony aka Peanut, haven't seen for a long while ... *wave*

How About this for a Suggestion:
We Meet Mid Morning at Port Botany for Meet/Greet/Show/Shine & Pics.
Then we drive in Convoy to LaPerouse for Lunch.

The Pics at Port Botany are a much better point because there is Heaps of Parking Side by Side ... No People, Interruptions from Traffic or Hassle's.

yeah sam been a while, i agree on location for photos, that new boat ramp/carpark of foreshore drive just down from Patricks is massive and its never busy then we can drive to a place for lunch after the photos for more socialising and sh!t talking

Yeah Anthony ,,,, I've heard about the New Boat Ramp of Foreshore Rd (less than 1km from either Port Botany or LaPerouse) but I haven't been there to have a Look.

But since its so close we can decide on the day after meeting at Port Botany wheather to drive there or whatever....

All very easy choices because of such close proximity to each other.

He is running/organising these meetings, so its his to manage.

Yes. on my day off, it's 4:15am and still slaving away on this site.

Anyway poll is up, it's for 3 days... which means it should end at 4:15am Fri morning, so by Friday day we should have a result?

From Past Meets: Sundays are Generally the "Pick" because many members are engaged in Work Commitments on Saturdays.

When Voting in the "LOCATION POLL" ..... "Keep in Mind" that either Port Botany or the LaPerouse Loop will most probably involve a visit/lunch at each location.
For that matter the New Boat Ramp (carpark) of Foreshore Rd, could be on the cards as well.

All 3 locations are within 1km of each other and easily accessible via light traffic roads.

UPDATE --- UPDATE

Sorry Guys ... But I'm in a Big Pissed Mood ATM .... so "NO" color ....

I went to Laperouse for Lunch with the Mrs today .... but couldn't have any.
The Parking or Lack of it was Appalling ... I drove around for 35mins before I gave-up.
It's a Working Day and the place was Absolutely Parked to the Shores.

So I went and had a look at the Boat Ramp of Foreshore Rd ... Great Alternative to Prince of Wales Drive at Port Botany ... although a Ranger I spoke to whilst I was there said it get's pretty busy on the Weekends.

Port Botany Does Not.

Still Hungry & wanting to Please my Great Wife .... I continued down Foreshore Rd .... left on to General Holmes Drive and Pulled-Up at the C-SIDE on the Beach Seafood Cafe in the park at Kyeemagh just before the Traffic Lights at Bestic St.

If you Use the Google Street View .... then Dis-regard the Building Site next door .... Its all Nice & Clean Parkland now ... :lol:

The Food is Mouth Watering ... Greek Peter the Cook ... (not our VRX-Pete)
The Variety is Plentiful & Fresh .... Battered or Grilled.
Ample Sized Parking Area .... & Seating.

I've had Lunch there before ... but years ago ... Its a Great Alternative to LaPerouse which has People Congestion & No Parking.

The Proprietor Peter even said he would reserve Parking & Seating for Us on Sunday if I ring in Advance.

Think about it.... we could go there either after or before the Photo Shoot @ Port Botany.
If we go Before: then we meet at the Cafe @ midday.
If we go After: Then we meet at Port Botany @ 9:30 - 10:00am
We could Decide on the Day via a Vote if all are comfortable with it.

I've restarted the poll and included a new option the boat ramp.
Food idea a C-side sounds good. glad it's not me doing the cooking. And I wont be wearing a plate on my head as a hat.

I'm easy on whatever day of the weekend it is.. i'll re-arrange to make it.

The C-SIDE on the Beach Seafood Cafe in the park at Kyeemagh is a Great Place to Meet & Eat .... Pete.

Worth consideration on the Day or put to a vote.

They're Traditional Greeks running the place (the best at doing Seafood)
you can have Grilled or Battered ....
They have Fish Cocktails, Calamari Rings, Scallops, Seafood Sticks, Prawn Cocktails, 3 types of Fish Fillet, Chips, Fresh Marinated Octopus, Seafood & Greek Salads, Burgers for those who don't like Seafood & All types Drinks.

I had Lunch there today with my wife, it was very Fresh & cooked perfectly.
I'm still lick'n my Fingers .... :lol:

Centennial Park: Centennial Parklands - No Food & Drinks Available - BYO - Numerous Parking - Leafy Backdrop

As for food, we can do that after for an evening feed or before as a lunch feed and those that want to come for food can, else they just rock up to the photoshoot location if it's not ANZ stadium?!?
