Ill admit, I speed a little bit but i dont do it around residential streets, main roads ect. theres a road that leads to my house, speed limit is 60 but i do 80.
alot of ppl tend to speed near their homes... they know the layout better than any other street(from driving there so often) thus feeling more confident/relaxed ultimately leading to a different from usual driving technique causing more accidents.
i 1st heard facts about it around 5-6 years ago but i found this link related to the issue just then which sums it up nicely
