Unless the oil pricing has changed massively recently, I reckon they've only quoted 4 litres of fluid (one can). If the service guy hasn't done a SST drain and fill before he wouldn't realise its 8 litres required (2 cans).

Might be an interesting conversation after the service is done and they realise their mistake.

What cheeses me off the most is the price of that oil in the US. We're getting well and truely ripped over here.

Petrol is $1.45 a litre yet the Aussie dollar is at $1.05 US and oil is at $99 a barrel, yet last time we paid this much the Aussie dollar was at 70 US cents and oil was $145 a barrel, we should be paying about 90 cents a litre for petrol

perhaps this has something to do with the price of that oil aswell, but seriously that is bullshit, its bloody oil... i hope penrite or castrol make some substitute for it soon.

Dia-Queen SSTF-1 is Castrol Transmax Dual also sold as Castrol BOT 341 in europe for about $18 to $25 a litre so the little ozzie battler is being ripped off once again

Castrol BOT341 I believe is the OEM fill so I think they would have trouble knocking you back on the drive train warranty, the problem is getting ones hands on the stuff.

WOW! So I'm thinking to start to do my own services! Wondering if this will avoid the warranty (doing my own service)
