I'd think CVT would have a bit more drivetrain friction...

CVT would have a physical limit to the ratio it could achieve, and maybe a digital limit, so I know it wouldn't be 'unlimited' disregarding power/friction...
Oh and I guess I hsould contribute. Personally, I find manual to be fun. I never get sick of changing gears as it gives me something to do. I don't have to deal with heavy traffic often but I don't mind when I do either.
I've never driven a CVT so no comment on which is better.
