Graham, I hope you're ok!

Bummer Jake :(

I'm guessing it is beyond that O'Brien quick fix resin stuff?

On a separate note...

Has anyone used/heard anything about Tokyo Motorsport?

I emailed them about possibly tuning my car and they said they have only ever done Evos and a tune is usually $770, but its $550 in May.

I'm going to talk to Xspeed and see what they are like, or we could all pitch in and fly Merlin over here for a tuning day as it would probably be cheaper and at least he has some experience with NA cars! :)

Rahul, are you planning on visiting your mechanic mate anytime soon? I have a few bits and pieces I need installed :D

New wind screen can be done by instant or obriens - just make sure you are very clear when you book it as to make and model and tell them about the sensors - they can do it no worries.

I had my Skyline at Xspeed many years ago - from memory its all turbo cars as well...
I have a 3 year old son who KNOWS i should drive faster! So why do i get fined?!?

It definitely isn't a repair job, its at least a 30cm crack and could get bigger at any time...

And thanks for the help Mike :)

So everybody, a little lesson:

Keep your spacing when we make a run!!!11!!@

Quoted $704 from O'brien all up for a windscreen and 2 other bits that apparently get ruined when removing the screen (the glass itself is $508).
And I only just noticed the irony of O'brien road and O'brien the company. :P

My conversation with the guy:
Hey I'm after a quote for a windscreen on a current model lancer VR.
*does some typing* Alright is that a sedan or the coupe?
Its a... Its the hatchback. Its a 2010 lancer.
*more typing* Ok, so thats the 2 door yeah?
Huh? Its 4 door... Its a current model lancer, they're all 4 door...

Dumbass. I'm pretty sure he thought I was the stupid one too.

My insurance covers this and my excess is $450, so thats probably what I'll do (I don't have a no claim bonus lawl).

I have the TWM short shifter, lateral locks for my sway bars and the front central lip from the Russian GB to put on the car. If I end up getting a proper tune done I will be getting 4-2-1 headers too, and maybe upgrading the front rotors in preparation of our track day

I have actually emailed Tokyo Motorsports and they said they could do it, but that they haven't done one before so not sure what gains to expect.

I was just curious to know if they were reputable and can be trusted seeing as they have no experience! $550 seems reasonable for a full tune though, especially if they are a decent company.

Jake, a new windscreen doesn't count as a mod, so stop wasting your money :P

Good advice though, I felt like I was being attacked by the bb gun army, especially with the new and improved flower power throwing rocks at me!! :D

I'm too scared to go over my car in detail in case I find more chips and scratches :(

No girls would go in my car without a front window :( it'd mess up their hair!

I'd rather those rocks not be hitting my face too :P

Though our cars (manual anyway) DO have a higher top speed than an auto xr6, you're giving me ideas  I just need some gunz.

Well, I am 90% certain the auto xr6's have a lower top speed due to only having 4 gears (maybe the newer ones have 5, idk).

Obviously they have better acceleration though.

I can't say too much
