Engine start/stop button

Yeah but if you check out the might car mods video.. they just splice some wires in the ignition and they get it to work.. it would make sense with the smart key however, because we don't actually insert the key.. you can buy a aftermarket button for around $30 and just wire it in... or spend the $400 something and have a simple plug and play connection only in ralliarts..

The start button in the ralliart installed by mitsu still does the same thing. You cant really get around it. You need to turn the key to the on position and then press the start button. One of the members on here had it, Ral1rt, hes no longer around since he sold his car but i was curious about this when he did it aswell.
Your asking quite alot of the car and the security system to pretty much bypass all the things needed to start the car including bypassing the code on the keys which gets sent from the keys into into the cars computer, also bypassing the steering wheel lock, ACC signal etc.
There is a lot more to it then you think, possible, probably, but worth it, definitly not...

I'd be careful if you buy an aftermarket one and dont have to turn a key this could be very easy for your insurance company to "void" your insurance if the car gets stolen

I agree, right now in my VRX the key fob stays in my pocked and I just turn the 'key' and away I go.
Guess Mitsubishi didn't want to spend the money to put in a proper keyless push button start, but isn't it available on other models here in AU?
