Yeah good luck. Just remember its not the end of the world as its made out to be. If you dont get what you wanted or into whatever you wanted you can get in another way. Go into another course and transfer or pick up work.

It is not fair by a long shot. Not sure if HSC is marked the same way as VCE but your ENTER/ATAR score is determined by the subjects you took over the 2year period. Some subjects get marked down as they are deemed 'too easy' and some are marked up as they are deemed 'too hard'. It is not an equal playing field. To get a good score now all you need to do is chose all the subjects where you get marked up and just get a pass mark and you end up getting a decent final score. Its the biggest load of unfair bullshit but that is how it works...

When I did mine a few years ago the school we all went to asked everyone what we wanted to do; either pass or get an ENTER score. We got told a few things we were not suppose to have been told as the school knew almost 3/4 of us were not going to do very well  but we were told the ENTER/ATAR score is only valid for one year. After 12months have lapsed, that number is null and void. After that you can get in as a mature age student or transfer in via another course if you go to do further studies.

We were told not to worry if we didnt get a good final score as one its only valid for a year and two there are more than one way to get into what you want.

Got a shocking ENTER score (I wanted 75 but I got some of it instead haha), still went on to further studies and ended up getting a Diploma in Business Admin and most of my subjects I passed with HD's and lowest was a C.
