I've never had a problem with Norton of late... Gaming edition FTW.

The older ones did chew the resources though I'll admit that.

Most people who whinge about Norton chewing resources now must still only have 256mb of RAM

Which norton product are you using Stacy?
It's a good call by SIR-VRX to ask you to check if you can access ebay with other browsers.

Anyhow, give this a try
1) Open your Norton product (Norton Internet Security or Firewall) and look for "Privacy Control"
2) If you find it, find an option that allow you to set the level of security. There should be something that allow you to set it to default level.
3) If that is found and done, fire up a browser other than chrome to test out your ebay site. Basically you want to test it on a browser which you haven't fool around with the settings before.

Hope that might help.

Norton 360 huh :/

My previous post may be useless then. Now is your Norton 360 version 2.x or 3.x ?

If its version 2.x, give below notes a try then.

For Norton 360 v2.x
    1. Fire up Norton 360 by right-clicking on the small icon on the system tray (bottom right).

    2. Select "Open tasks and settings window".

    3. On the right panel under "Settings", click on the "Change Advanced Settings", with a "drill" icon.

    4. That will bring you to "Advanced Settings". Select "Undo and Exclude" option.

    5. You will see 5 tabs on this next window which shows you the stuff Norton 360 has done. From here onwards, it's really a matter of trial and error really. The objective is to find which one is causing you the ebay problem.

    6. For starters, look under the Virus and Spyware tab. If there are any "Tracking Cookie" entries, look for the one that is closest to the date you click on the OK when shown the messagebox by Norton 360 (as mentioned in your opening post). Click "Restore" button and OK the follow-up warning alert.

    7. Fire up your browser and see if ebay works now.

    8. Repeat Step 6 if there are more "Tracking Cookie". Alternatively, look at the other tabs to restore any settings that is done on the date.

As for v3, well I can't really help there as I think the "Undo & Exclude" option is no longer there. I guess you have to go thru the menus to find all the options to reset everything to default settings.

There is just too many variables involved and re-install might just be the best and easiest solution. That is assuming Norton doesn't keep the old settings after uninstall which I am quite certain they tend to do that. One reason I dislike Norton products.

Sorry, don't think I am of much further help as I don't really use their products for a while.
