I'm sorry to hear about that Tadz! I felt the same when I snapped some clips on my interior :(

I hope that once it's all fixed the angel eyes work out good!

Well, ive only got one set installed, havnt hooked up the power to them yet. Ive gotta wait and see if the lense fogs up and go from there. I sealed it up best i could...But only time will tell.

Probley sounds like a no0bish question, but what weather should i expect the headlight to fog up in? Warm to cold weather or Cold to Warm....

Is there anyway i can make it fog up myself to i can save myself the trouble later down the track for a new headlight if i dont have the money at the time?

Condensation is caused by heat on a cold object, fog is cold on a warm object? I think?

As you know an unsealed light will allow air to enter the light - air carries moisture which is what causes the fogging or condensation.

You should find in any major tempreture change is when the fogging or condensation will occur... think of boiling a jug of water mate the hotter it gets the more steam or fog you will have or as Josh mentions condensation vs fogging.

As for trying to replicate the conditions I cant really suggest anything other than leaving the car in outside overnight somewhere it will get full sun in the morning and check then it out :?: unless you know someone with heat lamps or maybe a paint booth :P

Man Tadz, really sorry to hear that, I feel your pain.. :(

As SirVRX said, yeah spend a bit of dosh to fix it up for you. I know it'll hurt your wallet but it at least it'll be fixed.

I agree with Matty, if you're doing anything yourself that involves tweaking a part in an way it wasn't designed for, just be really careful in future. I'd go as far to read more than one how to and get a second and third opinion as methods and steps.

One good piece of advice that was given to me when it comes to doing something with -the high risk of damage-; "If you don't have the experience in what you're doing, leave it to the pros. If you want the experience, have a pro with you during the process helping out."

I always try to follow that mentality myself, so that way I learn with minimal chance of damage to what I'm working on. For things that involve low risk damage I'll just give it a go myself after reading a couple of how-to's and getting some verbal advice. I hope that helps out Tadz :)

Really sorry to hear about your setback,
It's part of the learning curve I guess,but at least you gave it a go!
If you cant save the light at least you can get a replacement, but it does hurt the back pocket and your pride a bit doesnt it?
Consider a pro if you are feeling a bit gun shy about the install there's no shame in that

bad luck tadz, sorry to hear about what happened, did my angel eyes myself as well but had help, had to take the most caution when i was installing it and yeh it scared the crap out of me but it turned ok in the end just sorry to hear it didnt turn out for you

Well my headlight hasnt fogged up or shown any sort of moisture in it just yet, but it hasnt been in conditions that would really cause it. I can only hope it doesnt leak, and ill take the other one to a professional. I found a guy near me and i sent an email to him to see if he installs angel eyes and im just waiting on a reply..

Just have to wait and see....
