Sun roofs leak
And just an extra hot spot in your car
And something else to go wrong with the car

Last point is a give in, as anything on a car can break at any time. The first one, a high pressure steam cleaner on mine, no leaks (before the insurance replacement so had been in there at least 10 years). Second, a hot spot is good in Melbourne winters when you can have a bit of sun but there is a bone chilling southerly from the Antarctic keeping the air temperature down, also an extra thing to open when parked in the shade to vent the heat, and when it is open fully while driving the sound isn't that bad, unless there is a cross wind, but the speed it sucks out hot air is pretty fantastic. I agree the heat in QLD probably makes a sunroof unwanted.
