bobcrusader wrote:Factory setting for 'Stationary Rev Limiter" is 5250RPM. So if we take that down to, say, 3000? Might have to give this a try this afternoon - got my laptop and tactrix handy.

Let us know how this works out please :)

Bob is on the money.

there are 2 rev limits in the car.

1. Stationary - When the car is sitting still, say at Traffic lights. Standard around 5250
2. Normal - When you're driving. Standard around 6500

Lowering the stationary limit to say 3000 provides a launch function. So You can then left-foot brake, mash the throttle and the engine will sit at 3000 and when you let go of the brake, you're off.

The car won't engage the clutch until the brake is released, but when it does it's harder than normal take off, so wear and tear is higher. Not recommended for repeated use.

Safe to leave the RPM limit at that level all the time though, as it only functions at that low level when the car is stationary, including revving the car when in Park and Neutral.

@ Bob, you have a Tactrix, but do you have a definition file for your ECU?

hmm with the brake on and the right foot down though the RA will edge forward as the clutches are engaged.

It shouldn't, it doesn't engage the clutch until brake is released... Sport mode that is

Naaa im pretty sure it does engage mate. Ill check again but i have to stab the throttle quite rapidly to get the revs up whilst on the brake. Yesterday I was showing a mate a launch and I got her up to 5000rpm before holding the accellerator down and dropping the brake at the same time and she lit up all 4's briefly, Before ASC kicked in :-)
Maybe the clutches are only engaged after a certain amount of throttle on time.

Try with ASC off as well..

Maybe they partially engage then... If they fully engaged you'd stall it.

I've got the GST flash files - I'm using the BoostPill 93 AUS at the moment. Pretty sure I can just adjust the Stationary LC and flash it back up.

But I agree that my clutch seems to engage after about 500ms after pressing the accel pedal - no matter if ASC is on or off, or in Normal or Sport.

The free flash files posted by GST in the US. http://forums.evolutionm.net/09-ralliar ... semap.html

They are pretty conservative tunes, but they give you something to work with.

I'm meeting up with Melbourne Performance owners Lee and Troy next week to discuss a possible sponsorship for club cj. This could be a good thing for the club as I believe they are the best tuners in melbourne.
I will be discussing Stage packages for the standard 2.0 Lancer the VRX 2.4 and the RA.
So for melbourne members I may have some solid power upgrades and prices for you soon.
