ACT Meet #1 -Discussion/Planning-

Hello ACT members (and others), welcome to February!

I'd like 2010 to be the year in which Canberra 'cuts it's teeth' so to speak. All the other areas have regular, or semi-regular meets. Now, I'm not saying we need to jump right in and have a meet every week, we don't have the members like QLD do for example, but we could perhaps manage one every other month or so...

Anyway. I'd like to see if we could possibly have a brief meet this month, more so people can put names to faces and cars then anything and possibly take some pictures.

To this end I've picked a possible meet point that should also be a pretty good photo spot.
Weston Park, down by Lake Burley Griffin. - Thanks to StrkEagle for the suggestion of by the lake.

This also has the advantage of being both public and "family friendly" - I'm a Premium member and so have club decals on my car; this means any meets I plan will most likely be family friendly and I hope won't fit the image of groups of people meeting at servo's on a friday night.

All we need is a day and time. Weekends during the day, early in the month are best for me. Time I'm somewhat flexible.

This month I'm available:
6th & 7th, 13th & 14th, 21st

If you're interested, throw up dates and times that work for you.
If you have other suggestions feel free to throw those up as well.

I know here in QLD if we organised a meet every second day we'd get attendees, I hope ACT can get like that one day!

Allright, at this point I'm going to set a more specific date for this meet.

Saturday 13/02/2010. I'll leave the time open at this point so others can chime in if they're going to (should have enough time, that's why I picked the 13th).
