Quick qustion for ya'll...
I have aftermarket tint on my car, and its been scratched to the sh**house from the stock felts. Will mitsubishi replace this under warranty? Not the tint, ill find a way to claim that another way, but since its damaging one of my companents, will they change it for me?
how can you have after market tint?
mitsu doesnt make anykind of tint so there for there is no after market tint for it?
the tint you get at the dealers is there tint same they would do for anyother model or make car they have. or thye take it to a tint shop before delviery and or get him to come to the dealership.
booked in a couple of weeks to get 35% on the privacy glass for the rear sides and rear window - mainly as to get the maximum amount of heat blocking. the puppies have found it pretty uncomfortable with the heat in the hatch and the 35% will block out about 55% of the heat. dark yes, but its all for the benefit of the pups

Did you put 35% on the rear or the front? Rears are dark already.

I did some shopping around for prices and advice in a couple of Tint-A-Car's in Perth.
They all offer Legal tint (35%) at the $320 to $365 mark, dependant on brand. Their website claims they will knock $100 off if you book online for Midnight Express or Formula 1. Bolle will give you a set of Sunnies and a couple of movie tickets. One guy recomended not using Formula 1 if you have a Blue or Red car as it has a Blue tinge to it in Sun-light.
Now for the important info.....One fitter claimed to have a OFFICIAL MEMO from Mitsubishi, saying that all windows on the early CJ's are known to have "A FAULT WITH THE WEATHER STRIPS" that causes the tint to scratch and the remedy is to cut the lower internal rubber strip off.
I have a 2008 VR and it has seems to have a 2 rubber strips (could be Poly Urethane from the looks), my brother has just bought a new 2010 ES and his is missing the lower strip and the upper is Felt.
But finally, a mate of mine who works for a window tinting company (not Tint-A-Car) is going to do my VR for $180 cash (he will do any % that I want but won't do Mirrored)
