I saw one on the highway the other day and the driver gave it a quick spurt from 90km/h. Very fast and made some very nice sounds :P Looks better in the flesh too.

Drove another brand new IS-F today (future Lexus media car) - the cost was to let my uncle drive the RA, as he was curious about the SST gearbox.

We gave them both a very good fang on some back country roads and my very slightly tuned RA was able to keep up no problem. But geez the IS-F makes some beautiful noises under full throttle and when blipping back down through the gears, I don't care how many exhausts work or not.

I think my Falken 452s made a little more noise and had less grip than the Bridgestone Potenzas on the IS-F, but I never saw my ASC light up like I did on the IS-F.

I prefer my flappy paddles, the IS-F paddles follow the wheel and you can never be sure which one is under your hand. And the 8 gears in the IS-F is too many - I only ever used 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th and cruised in 8th.

Ride-wise, my RA is lowered and running pretty firm suspension and it hugs the road nicely, while the IS-F is surprisingly firm as well but a little more compliant than mine.

My uncle was really impressed with the SST - it changes gear faster (which surprised both of us) and keeps the power on, where the IS-F power goes away and comes back again during changes. He commented that the clutch take up in the RA is very smooth.

I love the seats in it the IS-F - really hug you tight. The seats in the RA are not bolstered enough for my liking.

Both cars have multiple personality disorders, triggered by the right foot or engaging 'Sport' mode. From Mild-Mannered four door practicality to laugh-out-loud sports cars. Is the IS-F a $90,000 better car than a Ralliart? Not a chance!

Ehw, a lexus, the only lexus that could possibly look good, perform good and sound F***ing insane is the Lexus LFA. Nuff said
(note this car costs like $800,000, please try not to fall in love like i did )
