must be something to do with the different emission gear our engines have and how it is measured, as per the ADR.

I would expect the torquier 2.4 motor to do better than the 2.0... The benchmark here has been two litre motors.

Manual, as was said before, I like to drive the car not get driven!!!
Just out of intrest, does anyone know what sort of HP the manual gearbox can put up with???

It is a Aisin F5MBB Transaxle.

Can't find any specs on it though.

Well i like Manual, but now we only need one car, Missus can't drive Manual, so CVT it is. Still bloody nice car to drive

at the moment i have auto
but some how wud prefer manual
only got auto cos im lazy and my previous car was a 95 hyundai excel and the manual on that was crap - in fact the whole car was just crap lol :D

Manual for me. My first car was an auto Datsun 120Y....... drove it for about 6 months and then I fell in love with a manual mustang-style Celica. So I sold the Datsun and bought a car I couldn't drive - but I learnt quick enough!! That was back in 1988. I've been driving manuals ever since!

Love my manuals!!
I like to drive the car and feel what its doing
Accelerate and de-ccelerate with the box not just rely on the brakes.
I've owned both manuals & autos but dont like the car being in control 8)
Besides track days are so much fun with a manual!!!! LOL :lol:
