Finally got round to painting the engine, sparkplug, and fuse covers as well as the air intake and that other little bit of the intake that's removed for free SRI mod.
Just did it in body colour with silver emblem and mivec. Its just a subtle difference but thats how I like it.

Irrespective of what others say work, the correct way is to de-wax and remove grease with an appropriate product (wont mention brands as people always know better ones, so use whatever you like), then use a plastic adhesion promoting primer, as a minimum.
The adhesion promoter chemically binds to the plastic and also presents the best surface for acryllic or enamel based paints to adhere. You should follow the directions, because most adhesion promoting primers need you to lay paint whilst still just tacky.
