Paul, there are no prices yet... Once I get an idea on numbers I can get prices. See the posts by Sam (linked in the first post) for the retail price. The prices I can offer will be less than that.

@ tryg, arutha: Done!

@ driftnut(( : Can't do sorry. They ONLY sell via dealers/distributers. Hence this group buy via Repco. And don't worry, I'm getting a good price through Repco anyway.

Well Retail price is $252-$285.

Depending on numbers, we could get it cheaper by $50 or so. Don't quote me on it yet, need a good show of numbers before we can get a set price.

I'll give this a few more days, then do the figures up with my contacts.

Well done Adrian, this will save me heaps of time and worry, trying to get the Progress Sway Bar from the US... And, notably, it is already the same price for the rear delivered. Any money you save me is a bonus!

There is also a potential saving on other item through Repco in the future.

Some examples:

1. Spark Plugs
2. AutoGlym Products
3. ???

What effect will these bars have on our cars?

The vrx's and Aspires already have the top bar in the engine bay. What size are they?

Will it effect the comfort of the ride?

I am going to fit King springs when they open after Christmas. I know these are going to stiffen my ride a little. I dont want to feel every bump.

Are people fitting these because they use their cars on the track or is there a benifit for everyday drive?

GB Sounds like a great idea to me and Feb I'll probably be able to manage.

Put me down for BMF56Z & BMR86Z

Yeah I'm going with Handling set...

Aspir3,

You do not need to track to feel the potential handling differences sway bars make.

They drastically change the handling characteristics of your car without sacrificing any comfort factors.

For instance, I notice that my car now doesn't understeer as much, and also takes longer before it understeers. I have the full set of Ultra Racing bracing and also the Sway bar from UR as well :P

Any improvements on the sway bar (thicker), like these Whiteline sway bars, will definitely help guide our Lancers through corners better.

Also, these bars (sway) have nothing to do with the OEM strut bar you see in the engine bay. These bars lie below the car pretty much embedded in the suspension.

Hope that answers your query.
