The Police up here carry these business cards that make a pattern, anything above 35%, then you cannot read the word made out of the pattern...

I would hate to get into an accident and then the Police defecting your car on scene.. Insurance companies would have a field day...

Pfft! Only if the lack of visbility from your side windows had a direct correlation to your accident. Such as failing to give way or entering/leaving an intersection and colliding with someone because you "could not see".

I've got 20% on my fronts - thinking about putting 35% over the rear privacy glass to block a bit more heat and to make it more comfortable for the puppies in the hatch

Might make it a bit too dark? How about some clear-ish UV filter film - should take out the UV burn factor with no loss of visible light. I know some on the forums have done this with the privacy glass.

I have 35% on the fronts and 70% on the rears over the privacy glass and I find that of a night time I am still able to see out of them quite well.

The privacy glass does not give UV protection. People think because it looks like tint that it works like tint.

I have a clear tint over privacy glass for the kids and 35% on the front for me.

It is easy to see through! If you come on cruise this Saturday, you can look at mine!

It is UV-Cut glass, so it blocks UV rays... But not 99% like tint film does.

To save me starting up a new thread...

Quick qustion for ya'll...

I have aftermarket tint on my car, and its been scratched to the sh**house from the stock felts. Will mitsubishi replace this under warranty? Not the tint, ill find a way to claim that another way, but since its damaging one of my companents, will they change it for me?

No dude, they wont. The word aftermarket pretty much means, VOID in mitsubishi's eyes.

Anyone got a solution to put a dark strip across the top of the front windscreen? Legally we can do the top 10%, but it may affect the wiper/light sensor. I'd love a graduated tint - totally dark at the top to 35% towards the bottom. Or I could just stick a big Ralliart sticker there?
