Time to fit out the front lip!!!!

I came across a couple of hurdles during another dry fit :(

The plastic screws that hold on the plastic inner guard are not suitable for fixing the Lip to the car so I swapped them over for some slide on steel clips and black button head screws.

Then I drill out the dimples on the lip where it wraps around into the wheel arch

The holes line up perfectly with the OEM holes

Hurdle No_2
I have to fit some fog lights before I fit the lip to the car because the lip cover all the OEM mesh panel except a circular cutout for future fog lights.

Hurdle No_3
Factory paint jobs SUCK
Not sure if you have noticed but just about every car getting around with plastic bumpers seem to be a shade or two different colour to the main body. This is due to the plastic sucking in the pigment on the bumpers in comparison to the metal body when painted in the exact same colour.

It looks even worse when you get a colour code match for the car and paint out a body kit. Yes, It matches the car but not the bumper it is going on.

Never to mind. I have plenty of paint left over so it looks like I will be painting the front and rear plastic bars again.
Probably re paint the front and rear lips after fitout to get the same colour throughout.

Looking good!
I reckon all it needs is a black out bumper, to match all the black accents on the kit. Match the bumper and top frame to the fog light accents ;)

Looks very nice! The side of the front kit reminds me of the CE's a little bit.

Can't wait to see her lowered with some rims, will compliment it so much more!

good work

The wife doesn't like the blackout :?

I was thinking of paint the upper grill suround the same colour as the car.

If not then the same colour as the rest of the black.
