Just picked them up from the post office. Build seems good. The CF look is not some sticker stuck on (which I kinda feared), but luckly did not eventuate.
The metal feels very solid. Not flimsy. Each strut weighs in at 265g.

Just installed mine, not sure if I placed the washer and the locking washer in the correct sequence.
Anyone want to confirm I've done it right or buggered it up? Have a feeling the locking washer should be against the head of the screw and the flat washer against the black plate? I'm such a n00b, especially after a nightshift.

Thanks for that. Just was dreading have to re-do it all over again.
Not sure if both washers are really needed, I'd be inclinded to use the star lock washer only.
my concern is with the attachment to the hood, where adding the black plate in addition to two washers does not leave enough thread for the nut screwed on. There is only enough thread for half the nut to attach.
