I thought I'd round off this thread by posting some pix of the rear fog lamp install and sportback badge, thanks to ofey's recent group buy.

I centred the badge over the VRX because it seemed to look best to me, and I didn't want to relocate the VRX badge in case doing so caused more problems than it was worth.

The fog lamp is not wired in yet, and right now is there for cosmetics. Getting it functional will likely involve separate wiring to a switch on the dash. As SIR-VRX said in another thread:
SIR-VRX wrote: It would plug in, but not work at all. For starters, it would need the switch on the indicator stalk (different stalk to the VR/VRX with front fogs) plus it would also need to be in the programming of the ETACS, but it is not

I toyed with the idea of getting the rear fogs for the sedan (replaces one of the reverse lights) but not even the wiring is in for ours.

Or stepping outside the box ....

Option 1. Smoke Machine.
Option 2. Oil dispersal unit. (for those high beaming tail gaters)
Option 3. Spike strip deployment. (Same reason as above)

It does seem to be asking for inclusion as a villain car in 007!

Spike gun, wired to the parking sensors. Person behind gets too close, sensors trigger the spike gun, spike punches through their radiator.
