Waiting to get some dash and door trims from the wreckers so I can do my car... don't want to destroy my VRX ones ;)

hey adrian you know youdont have to sand it back, if you use a good glue it will stick fine and you can take it back as it doent hurt your piece your doing and you dont have to scratch it up. so it will be reversable.
and just cause 3M makes doesnt make it the best for the person that stated the 3M product.(not adrian)

Yeah I know you don't need to sand it, but this piece I did to see if it stuck better.

I'd still rather use spare trims to avoid wrecking mine

lol, I actually went to one of the local wreckers today to look for trims to experiment on and so I'd have a spare to put back on if it doesn't work out. Didn't have any CJ's though. Will check out the other wreckers in town next week. If they don't have any I'll just look for some similar trims on other cars and experiment with them.

What adhesive would everyone recommend? I mentioned the Super77 earlier as that's the stuff that you can get sent with the neffy wrap in quite a good deal, but obviously that deal is only worth it if the Super77 is the best adhesive to use. On other forums people have used 3M 90 with mixed results, it holds great but is supposedly much harder to fit as you have to get it right straight away.

We can go for a trip on Monday if they are open ;)

If not leave me a shopping list and I'll go down during the week and if you'll be at the meet on the 3rd you can collect!

For all those on the sidelines waiting to do this, I just saw Draevon's VR today.. he did the Neffywrap himself and it's 110% perfect and such a good look !!!

It really compliments his silver Lancer and unless I can get my matt black decals I am up for doing this too... just hoping I can get it as neat as his is!

Will have to either ask Draevon or I will grab some on 3 Jan at our mini-meet (unless you make it up the hill yourself Arutha!)

sorry to ask a really stupid question, but is it a fabric or a film wrap?
the site says fabric, but it looks like a film, like contact but without sticky stuff on the back.
