(WA) Boxing day charity cruise

Postby Graham » Mon Dec 21, 2009 7:07 pm

Hey fellow Perth peoples,

Triple-D are hosting a Boxing day charity cruise on the 26th of December and I am inviting anyone here who would like to come :D .

There have been a fair few clubs invited to this cruise and it will be merged with Running On Empty (For those who know of them, they cruise every Saturday night and have good turnouts).

We are expecting atleast 50+ cars.

DATE: 26 Dec (Saturday)
TIME: 8PM Meet for 8:45PM Departure
LOCATION: Carousel upper carpark. (Above Woolworths, near Hoyts and KFC)

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Because this is a charity cruise we are donating everything to PMH, the idea at the moment is for everyone to bring something like a teddy bear and after the cruise the admins will deliver them all to PMH so they can be given to the sick kids and hopefuly bring a few smiles to their faces.

There will be no hoon behaviour allowed, anyone who does stupid stuff will be asked to leave, the last thing we want is for there to be a crash around Christmas.

The map was made by myself and will go north of the river, the meetpoints (which are only posted here and aren't the EXACT location) are:

Carousel Carpark to Kelmscott (Hill Run)
Kelmscott to Belmont
Belmont to Balcatta (Tunnel Run)
Balcatta to Joondalup
Joondalup to Hilaries
Hilaries to City West (For shits 'n' giggles :P )

Map has been test run and is good to go, slightly edited the map.

Below photo was taken last Saturday on a Running On Empty cruise, Another CJ was there :D If you're reading this say hi in the new members section

ffs, why does EVERY cruise have to be planned when I have work? Every car club should look at my roster and plan around it...

Solution: Get a job that doesn't require you to work weekends :P

I remember when I had to work weekends, it sucked!

I test run the map and it's all sweet, should be a good cruise :)

Some idiod edited my map and got rid of the best bit and it turned into an epic fail

"heres an idea, lets ditch a perfectly good and popular hills run on a cool night where the turbo'd cars can have fun and instead take the cruise to some clown sitting in a tree on a suburb street with ZERO parking!!" :!:

Apart from that the cruise was pretty average, there was an alright turnout and a little bit of police trouble, once we told them it was a charity cruise they pretty much left us alone lol.

On the Freeway (Mitchell, northbound near Perth) theres roadworks which turns the 100 zone into an 80 zone, cops followed us from there and pinged my mate because he didnt slow to 80 (no one did, but he drives the most cosmetically appealing car.. lol) he has no license and had a yellow sticker removed yesterday and got let off with a warning, so lucky!

Pics to follow shortly

These are pretty much all the photo's that I took, some are blurry but that's because my photo skills suck and I dont have a stand :P

Over the road from my mates house waiting for people to come so we can cruise to the cruise :P

Towards the start of when people rocked up, this guy provided us with music to listen to :P

I'm now only allowed to drive with the blue light OFF because my license has been flagged for it :\ I can still turn it on at meetpoints!

heh yeah there were a few too many of 'em :P

If I know of any good cruises with notice I'll be sure to let you know

I also went on a cruise on Sunday, it was a last minute one, sms were sent and people were invited LOL. It was more of a 'hoon' cruise in a way though, so me and my mates bailed at the first meetpoint, we didn't want the cop attention that goes with it. there were two other CJ's at the cruise too!! :o
So we just went off and did a coastal run instead, and we still had cop trouble.. One of the WRX's had to get towed because the rego ran out.. that sucked.

As soon as I rocked up when there was like 10 cars there:

All the other photos are too damn blurry, so I used the floor as a stand. :P
