chip upgrades
Just wondering which is the best chip to go for is ??? Anyone have any advise??? (for 2.0 btw)
I phoned Meek, and they told me it could not be done. When I told her yes it could, she said well they don't have a tune. I told her that they can create one being that they are a tuner. She placed me on hold and come back saying they didn't want to do it. According to the woman at Meek, they don't have a dyno so you wouldn't be able to get a good record of gains etc.
SAS wanted me to leave my car with them for a couple of days and they were going to see if it was worth tuning. If they thought it was feasable they estimated around $1200 for a tune. (They are booked solid, so always going to be pricey) They are awesome to deal with, my mate has been taking his cars there for years.
RPW are offering a free basic tune at the moment for anyone who purchases or has purchased from them. Only snag is you require the ability to pull your maps off you ECU, email to RPW and then reflash to the ECU.
I am going to have a look at www.powertune.com.au in the new year. They don't have the software available yet but will sometime in Jan. They have quoted me $550 approx. Spareparts had a power run there on Monday, and he was quite happy with their professionalism.
