The Calibra was an Opel too I believe.

I had an 01 TS Astra. Yours looks like an 02/03 from the instruments etc.

Brings back memories. I remember paying $1100 cash via the Kenwood rep for their brand new MP3 head unit :)

I had one of those rebadged Swifts back in the early 90's. Mine was debadged, partly because it was a 'Sportsgirl' LOL. The decals and pinstripe put me off, but the second hand dealer I got it from said, "don't worry about that, we'll just get our detailer to take care of it". I asked how, of course, and his reply was, "oh it's easy, just sit there with a heat gun and it peals right off".

The Barina's were all the 5 door Swift.

welcome mate.. i saw before that u were looking for the RS upgrade.. dont bother u will get the poos with it and end up ripping it out and spending the same amount again and getting somthing that is twice or more better so save the money and buy somthing aftermarket it will be better quality and u can bypass the mitsu things that can get quite anoying when starting the car eg everytime u start with the mmcs pack u have to agree ..

cheers guys.
a very excited entry in the vrx club too, i absolutely love the amount of stock features, its awesome.

mitsa, i travel to syd fairly often every year, so i dare say ill see you guys down there before you guys are up this way again.
infact ill be down in syd 3 or 4 times from now till feb.

scraver, ill be in canberra for a couple of days during xmas to drop the kids off to the inlaws, so lets sort something out mate. you choose the location for pics, ill be in hall.

after that ill be back down in the gong on the 8th and 9th jan. 8th for a mates wedding.
then in late jan/early feb ill be in either canberra again or campbelltown, to pick the kids up.
then in syd again to take my dad to the acdc concert for their saturday 20th feb show at homebush. ( i have a spare seat tik if anyone is interested, i paid a stupid high price $350 for 2 off ebay, but awesome seats, $175 and its yours, i hate acdc, but if i have too ill watch myself lol)

btw, all that paving out front of the olympic stadium, i done that :) not alone though lol. done some in the newington olympic apartments too, and the circle park in the centre. oh and some infront of the aquatic centre too.

i was a syd boy for 22years, born and bred. moved to melb for a year, now im up here.

RS?
or do you mean RF? the package came stock with the car anyway. but yes ill be at least upgrading components of the stereo.
1st will be the tweeters, the stereo isnt clear enough.
if that doenst improve much ill be looking into replacing the door speakers.
and if that still isnt good enough ill be loking to replace the hu.
i am very happy with the sub, especially considering its a stock sub.

I know the feeling about replacing hu and speakers... least with the VRX you have so much stuff already, unlike us ES drivers that had to make it all happen!

Welcome!
