Going away for 1 month-disconnect battery?
as i dont want to come back and have no power to start the car, should i disconnect the battery before going away for a month?
If you see a blue lancer in Melbourne and it looks like a VRX, that'll be me!
I often go a month without starting my car. It always start straight away. It is not recommended to do this often as the engine will not like it. My car is locked safely away and someone is normally home. If no one is home and you are worried about the car then do as much as you can to stop thiefs from starting. Disconnect and remove battery is a good start..

Mate I agree with aspir3.
1 mo u should be fine but if security is an issue remove the batt and store elsewhere, pref inside somewhere cool and NOT on a concrete floor.
For GODs sake make sure u hide your car keys in the house some where no one can find em.
Most thieves who break in take your stuff away in your own car because people leave their keys in plain view.
Short of towing it away, the only way to steal a modern car is with the key otherwise u cannot get em started.
The key activates the ECU and it is tied in to starter, ignition and fuel systems. No key and u get none of those.

One month isn't really a long period so you need not worry about it not being started within this timeframe. Placing it in storage could be an option but would cost too much for short-term safekeeping. Just remove all valuables and important stuff before you leave.
