you will most likly need 2 unless they are both on one circuit. i havent checked so adrian might know, and you can porabably just use a 5W 180 Ohm wire wound resistor. they are white ceramic rectangles. with 2 wires coming out of them. and to put them in you can either cut into the circuit and solder them in. or somehow get it to fit into the T20 socket along with the bulb. but it needs to be installed in parallel to the light so across the positive and negative wires.
IF YOUR NOT LIVING ON THE EDGE YOUR TAKING UP TOO MUCH ROOM
You need at least the wattage of the bulb for the load resistor. The ones I have are 50W which is more than ample. You will probably need one for each side, the circuit is run separate back to the ETACS ECU.
As for the alarm, before you disconnect the battery, stick your hand in the glovebox, run it along the roof of the glovebox and down the back in the centre you will find a switch with your fingers. Toggle this switch the opposite of what it is now. Then disconnect the battery for 15mins and after you reconnect the battery, toggle the switch back to how it was. (That switch is to turn the alarm on/off )
