Ah, OK - thanks for the info.SIR-VRX wrote:It would plug in, but not work at all. For starters, it would need the switch on the indicator stalk (different stalk to the VR/VRX with front fogs) plus it would also need to be in the programming of the ETACS, but it is not
I toyed with the idea of getting the rear fogs for the sedan (replaces one of the reverse lights) but not even the wiring is in for ours.
Well, I'll just have to settle for plugging the hole.

There are a couple of plugs at the back of the Sportback which are left dangling (tin_pusher) showed me. The sedan however only has one of those plugs.
I suspect these plugs could be what triggers the rear fog lamp. As shown by our spanish friend josec yesterday, with his fog lights on in front, his rear fog light came on. So the natural conclusion would be that with the foggies on, the rear one would come on as well if plugged in.
We don't even need a set to try. All we need is a multimeter to test the plugs. With the foggies on and with them off.
We have very competent sparkies here who can suggest possible tests.

True ....... something to think about. It would really want to be wired in such a way to come on with the front fog lights though, otherwise as has been said it's something to forget to switch off.
Great ideas come out here - we've had rear torpedo launcher/phaser cover, extra heavy duty reverse sensor cover .....

They are switched separately ofey (front and rear)
To confirm, in JOSEC's thread, he has a picture of his indicator stalks, and you can see the dual-action switch
Also, don't forget it you are not allowed to use the fog lights "except in fog or other atmospheric condition which restricts visibility"

Actually, an illuminated switch on the dash e.g. one of the blanks where the ASC switch is could be the go. Make it hard to miss if it is switched on. Where would you buy a switch to fit the space & match the ASC one?
Re this pix from behind my bumper - the fog lamp is a two pin connector so that accounts for the one on the right. What is the other for - a trailer connector?

Hi friends
.... Yes, the fog lamp is a two pin connector, the big connector is for the parking sensors...
Here you can see the two connectors plugged
The fog light in place
All cables goes out of sight between the body and bumper
Last summer, another car hit my fog light, I found this photo of my car in the technical service where you can see the wires ...
