Dark Colour Car Owners: Spot Free car wash..?
Is there such a thing as a 100% spot free car wash, like a really good soap? Or.. is there a certain method of wash you use to obtain a spot free wash minus doing an entire polish.
Hidden Shadows - I use maguiars carwash and wash the car in the shade to keep the bodywork cool, straight after washing a good rinse off and then chamois dry immediately.
Usually gives a good result. If your interested autoglym polish gives a fantastic shine when time is available.
Cheers - Chris (mizta_b).

Not 100% sure on the clay bar but it used to be an industry only polish imported from England I believe years ago for the smash repair guys - a mate put me onto it and it's bloody brilliant stuff!
I used to show my CE Coupe and used nothing but Maguiars and Glymm on it .
Take care mate - mizta_b.

Hey i have a black lancer two and i use Maguiars Next Gen Car wash with a lambs wool mit, have the car as cool as possible and use an extra bucket and sponge for the wheels because of the brake dust and straight after finished washing and rinsing i chamois dry, a good polish for them is the Maguiars Next Gen Tech 2.0 Car wax its meant for dark coloured cars.
Look Out! in The Shire!!

ALl I used to use when inthe UK was Autoglym, awesome stuff, didn't even consider it wasn't available over here.
Take these guys advice and on top of that use a clay bar twice a year and the car will be sweet. All the CJ reviews I have read say that the paint on them is great so you should be alright.

The only problem I "think" I might encounter is the paint protection stuff I got the dealer to put on it.. as I was told its ok to was the car use baby shampoo or something.. so this stuff might be a little too damaging to the protection.. or it could work the other way and just make it heaps better.
Johnsons baby soap.
Excellent stuff, makes your paint protection last longer and it's very soft (makes your hands feel nice too lol). Do your normal wash, etc. as above then, to get rid of water marks, get a soft cloth with a TINY bit of water (just enough to loosen up the water marks) then dry it with a clean, dry microfibre cloth.
Makes my black CJ look brand new every time.
