yeah it does make it look easy!

Though personally I would prefer to buy a product that I know works than make one myself as I'd probably find a way to screw it up :(

yer they work pretty good. for 2led's and a clear plastic rod.

also with thoes automoglow angels ever things it may just be a ballast or something.? they are gas discharge lights? thoes cfll tubes or what every they are called.

Nope it's not just the ballasts. It's then CCFL tube itself. You can swap the ballasts over with a working one and it still doesn't work. Also, there has been some faulty ballasts as well.

ah ok cause a ballast would be a simple fix..
