all i did was call australia post and told them what i wanted to ship - same with 'toll' I think... can't remember now - NO i can, it was fedex.... and the quotes were $100 diff but around $200 and $300....
I felt like i was gettin ripped, shadows let me send it to brissy where he's got someone who blah blah and it got back to him in singapore somehow... $100 to brissy...

A shipping container is a bad example because that will come sea freight, where these items will be sent via air.
I think Shadows charged me about $250 or so for the side and front airdams along with a VG. This was DHL express.
My leather came via Singpost probably due to the added weight.
If you want the absolute lowest price I would imagine you could have the items sea freighted. Ofey may be able to clarify. This issue with this method is it takes at least 3 weeks depending on shipping timetables etc.

Lzy is pretty much on the ball here. It's a tough method to use proportion to consider freight costs.
I think dealers use shipping to pad out their profit. You can use Singpost and AusPost to work out the pricing of volume stuff.
Still a container would be the way forward. I look forward to the day we can organise our own container here. The trouble is that one 20ft container can hold perhaps 100 bodykits. Until all of us can agree on a date and time, to place an order together, we're never going to save.
At the moment, that's how aus distributors add on top of their earnings by eating abit off the shipping costs which is what motivated me to try with the body braces to be the first clear and easy transaction dealing directly with the manufacturer which is why I so want it to work without a hitch.

I'm sorry it's been awhile since I replied here. The huge problem will always be shipping. Until I can get a shipment of 100 bodykits going, we can forget the container. You'll be looking at the same amount for shipping as you're paying for the part itself.

I'm fairly sure lzy's onto something here - we got $2000 worth of stuff (2x1x1.5 metres possibly) shipped over here for like $200 or $400 or something... was heavy too - 100kg or so all up... was shipped from taiwan and took a little less than a month... that's all the details i know of it but..... it was a heavy package anyways... (which is why it was sea-frieght in the first place)
