Well the saga continues...
I'll start from the start:
When going through the sales process my preferred color for my new Lancer was blue. I optioned side airbags and spoiler. The sales person told me that if I was to get the blue Lancer it would have to come from the factory however there was a white one in the country that I could have and it wouldn't take as long. The ETA at this stage was 4 weeks. I decided on getting the white so the wait wasn't as long.
I played the waiting game and during the 4th week called the dealer ship and they advised that it would be a week later. Fair enough these things happen.
Followed up a week later and again it had been delayed. Not sure how long things went after this but I ended up following up again and was advised that I could pick it up on the 10th at 3pm which was awesome news.
On the 10th I thought that I should give the dealer a call to just make sure everything was good to go as I had already had the ETA shifted a few times. I was advised that it was stuck on the docks but should be here this week.
Now hearing that the car was stuck on the docks rang alarm bells because wasn't it already in the country??
So this brings me to today when I called again as the end of the week is tomorrow and hadn't heard a thing.
Called the dealer and ended up leaving a message which the sales manager called me back a few minutes later.
Sales manager calls and asks what I'm following up and I advise the delivery of my car. He looks it up and says that it's on a boat from the factory and should be ready for me at the end of the month.
Woah woah woah woah...
So the white Lancer I've been told I could have quicker than a blue one because it is in the country ready to be taken is actually on the way over on a boat?!
I explained my frustration to the sales manager and obviously caught him off guard as he apologized and explained that there wasn't much he could do until it actually arrives in the country.
So here I am, pretty pissed off at being misled and lied to. I want to pull the plug on everything but I've been waiting so long I just want the car.
Also during this time the drive away price of the car has dropped $1000 to $20990 and the dealer is offering spoiler and alloys for $21900. My price was $22500 for spoiler and airbags as options.
I open the discussion to you guys for your thoughts and suggestions.

They came in, rushed home to the coast from Sydney to get them. Turned up at about 4.30 and was told spare parts were closed to come back tomorrow by one of the service guys.
Although I had paid for them, and all I needed to do was pick them up he wouldn't help. He was quite rude about it. One of the sales guys saw me walking off pretty annoyed, and couldn't care less when I explained the situation.
On top of that, the paint flaked off my spoiler. Phoned the dealer and explained it and sent photos... they stuffed me around so I ended up just getting it repainted myself.
I have bought my last 2 cars there, and my parents have both bought cars there in the past. So much for customer service.
I got my car form booth Wyong.... same company diff location. Ordered it on a Monday, received it on that Thursday, and all positive from there.
They did charge me $50 to clear the engine codes when my batt went flat and i push started it, but thats fair enough as its not warranty.
I was going to buy a car from Tuggerah (Wyong) but I walked in there and he told me he had no stock... I asked to take one for a drive and he said there was no point till there was stock..... Went to Gosford the next day and put a deposit down.
I buy all my parts from Tuggerah though, coz it is only 5 mins from home... well now I get Ofey to get them
The service guys can have a little attitude, was just disappointed that the service guy wouldnt walk out and grab my stuff... not that hard really. But hey I got my parts in the end after a second trip so I am sorta over it!!!

Just want to say how good West Orange Motors were in the sales department.
The salesman wasn't pushy at all, was more thsan happy to throw the keys at us for a few cars and tell us to go take the cars for a spin.
We picked the ES Sportsback off the lot on a Saturday afternoon, and optioned some window tint and after market alloy wheels and was told we could have it Monday, we picked it up Tuesday at 9.30am as it was easier for us.
The dealer also threw in floor mats, full tank of fuel and a full size spare.
Polite the whole time and upon recognition of my last name in generall conversation, could recite the 2 Magnas he sold to my grandfather and uncle in 1993 and even their full names. I was impressed.

Ofey,
I disagree. I have had the complete opposite reaction from Penfold Mitsubishi. They shunned me, did not want to serve me. I asked questions, they gave me 1 word answers. Took my business to your arch nemesis, Eastside Mitsubishi.
Perfect service - served me at the door, called me to follow up a sale... Entertained me all the way through... got me a price I could pay with all the extras I wanted... They even threw in a full tank of petrol (even though it's Mitsu policy to only give 20L free)... and now, I find their service department very friendly and they put up with my constant complaints about little things gone wrong .
It helps that Daniel Deng (the only Asian salesman in Eastside) served me. Jan the manager was friendly and when I recommended another friend to buy a Lancer, she was more than happy to serve us. Shortly after the recommendation, I received a parcel full of goodies compliments of Eastside.
Hope that helps.

SUTTONS MITSUBISHI in ARNCLIFFE
worse customer service i've ever experienced
Came there and there were no other customers there but me and my missus
an old chinese salesman approached us, didn't really greet us
just gave us a little flick of the head kinda of thing
we saw an ex-demo 09 lancer (done 300+ KM stock ES) which was $100 less than the new lancer
we asked him about the cars specs and if it had any xtras
he gave us a smirk and "u have no money" look
we asked him if he could throw in alloys for that price or make it a little lower
he laughed and said no
I swore at him in my head and bugged off
Drove to sydney city mitsubishi 10min drive away
and got new lancer with alloys for less than the ex-demo at sutton mitsu
p.s i'm asian aswell so wasn't being racist before
that salesman was a CÜ*T
I'm NEVER GOING NEAR SUTTON MITSU EVER AGAIN!!!
