Push Button start for Ralliart

Postby Qld Ralliart Lancer » Fri Aug 21, 2009 5:56 pm

I am thinking of adding the push button start to Ralliart but would like to get some feedback from the ones that may already have it fitted, as it is not that cheap also if some one has it fitted could they post a picture so i can see what it looks like in side the car, any feedback would be great

IMO it is a waste of money. you still have to turn the key to "ON" for it to be activated. So it becomes a two-step process to start the car.

Also, I think that it looks tacky, as it's not neatly blended into the dash. Also, it is quite a complicated install I am told, part of the reason for the expensive price.

Up to you if you get it, but I personally wouldn't.

from what ive seen i think its stupid and a waste of money. i think you gotta have the key turned and push the button at the same time which defies the point.

EDIT: and once again beaten to the punch by Adrian...

hahaha Just call me Quick Draw McGraw :P

You don't have to turn the key and press the button, you just have to turn the key to ON then it activated the btton with a red Glow.

Also you have to hold the button for the duration of the start, not just press it once.

I think it's more of a novelty than function.

There is a lot more novelty you can get for over $400!!! That is just a silly price... I would prefer some dress up items... or even a CAI for that sorta money....

It is almost like Mitsu don't want you to buy it pricing it that dear!!

If you're looking for a big dumb red button sitting on your dashboard for the sole purpose of nothing more than draining $425 out of your wallet, then this may be the item for you!!!!!

Warranty and insurance implications? Also bear in mind Aussie models have different alarm systems... can't go into detail but AFAIK the AUDM has an upgraded alarm kit.

EDIT: After clicking the link, how do you know it works with smart key o_O?
