I have a grey lancer as you know and I think it's a really bad idea.

I have an alternative suggestion. Get some Carbon Fibre look vinyl and apply it to the roof.

Just my 2 cents. If you like it still, ignore what I said.

If still want to go black, Do what Ofey says and use vinyl but use black. That way if you don't like it or get sick of it, remove it.

Not my cup of my tea, but cool idea :)

maybe if it was silver. i really think black parts on a silver car look good. but the roof might be too much black.

maybe a nice black tribal pattern

I have seen it done, on silver and grey. It's less noticible on grey, but a gloss black roof on silver looks pretty good. I'll see if I can find the pics.

As other people have put it - Putting black on a dark grey car would look weird and hardly noticeable - if it were white or silver then fair enough.

If you do this, I want to see it in person Chris!

ok well i haven't decided yet but maybe a big bit of black vinyl would be a good idea, just to see what it looks like. if i don't like it, it can be removed. i like the carbon fibre look.
