Sup Peeps,
My mate just got himself a lowjack for his TRD Aurion
( Man I want that car ).

I was just thinking, our car's aren't really massive targets for thieves, maybe unless you have a ralliart or evo.
( Another reason to not be a wannabe and badge your ride with ralliart gear )
Have you guys just gone with the standard alarm system and steering wheel lock?
Those with MMCS units or any hi-end touch screen unit in their car - do you cover it over when you leave?

My car currently doesn't have anything done to the alarm. Probably the next thing on my list of things to buy!!
My 7" screen is aftermarket and folds away when not on.
My car is in security parking at work, and I don't normally park it anywhere too dodgy to get attention from thieves.
I will hopefully get around to sorting the alarm soonish.

MMCS is virtally useless to anyone who doesnt have a CJ, they might as well give it back to you because they couldnt figure out what wires do what to connect it to their stereo. If you were to cover it, it would just make it more enticing for the person to steal it. If people knew what they were lookin for, they would take it regardless of whether it was evo, ra or even standard CJ.
Ive personally upgraded mine to a python security alarm with 2 way paging. so whenever the alarm goes off i get a message back to my reciever with what section of my car has been tripped.

I got my Mitsu alarm upgraded at a reasonable cost
If they want in, or they want the car they will just tow it!
Insurance is always the best bet I've found
Alarms don't deter thieves anymore

Its a standalone remote, it doesnt incorperate itself into the mitsu keys. If you have seen zoolander, thats what my remote for my car looks like.
gotta tell you aswell, the remote is only good for about 700m. It says it will do 1 mile in an open area, but it goes down alot if your inside, IE, shopping center etc.
As bd said, its only goign to slow them down, not stop them. Most people just ignore car alarms nowa days.
